From Monday 19 July 2021 the offices at both Crewe and Macclesfield have fully re-opened. We strongly advise the wearing of face coverings when in the office buildings and hand sanitiser is available at the entrances.
At the same time we have increased the seated capacity in the chapels at Crewe and Macclesfield crematoria to 48 mourners. Additional mourners are welcome to stand outside the chapel where they will be able to listen to the service via our external speakers. Alternatively our live webcast service is still available by arrangement for those unable to attend a funeral in person.
Seating plans for each chapel have been issued to Funeral Directors to help you plan the event. Singing is now allowed during a service but we will not be reintroducing hymn books for the foreseeable future.
It is no longer mandatory to wear a face covering when attending a funeral. However we strongly recommend their continued use and hand sanitiser dispensers will remain available at the entrance and exit to our chapels.
However please feel free to contact the offices at Crewe and Macclesfield if you would like clarification of the above or have any other query.
