Salary: Grade 5 (£20,443 to £22,129 FTE)
Base: Crewe Cemetery, Crewe
Shift Pattern: 37 hours a week
Contract Duration: Permanent
Do you have experience in grounds maintenance and operating a range of vehicles and plant equipment and a full clean driving licence? Can you show empathy and understanding? Is providing high levels of customer service important to you?

Orbitas Bereavement Services is a wholly owned Company of Cheshire East Council and has responsibility for managing the Council’s 10 cemeteries and two crematoria.
As a Bereavement Services Operative you will play an important role to provide bereavement services to the community of East Cheshire. You will be responsible for undertaking the preparation of graves (via mechanical or manual methods), maintenance operations, cleansing, general upkeep of the cemeteries and crematorium grounds. In addition, you will also work in the crematorium itself acting as a chapel attendant as well as overseeing the cremation process following the completion of the necessary training.
Please note a Full UK Driving License is required for this role.
